Who is pVI?

That's a great question--I'm glad you asked! Truth is, I'm still trying to figure that out myself... But I can tell you this much:

I go by "pVI", short for peculiar VIrtue--a self-given handle for the following reasons: Basically, I'm not your average aspiring woman of virtue; the peculiar part comes from 1 Peter 2:9 (KJV). The capitalized "VI" stands for the (United States) Virgin Islands--my home.  I'm a 'close-to-30-year-old' woman who, by now you already know, is a born-again Christian.

My hair is natural and chemically-colored (yes, I'm just a walking oxymoron), zumba is my current athletic pursuit in the midst of an ongoing struggle with weight and body image, and I am a die-hard "foodie"--DARK chocoholic, if ya nasty! LOL  And I am a self-proclaimed, artsy-fartsy, pseudo cultural anthropologist *whew, that's a mouthful* so culture and the arts stay at the top of my list of personal interests and I long to travel the world to enjoy the peoples and places that God has created. Music is my heartbeat but world genres are the rhythms of my life! Don't even get me started on [gospel] reggae and soca, Afropop, bhangra, merengue, rai, flamenco guitar......

Believe it or not, I'm not a 'people-person' (imagine that) but this introvert has lots of opinions and loves to write, so this blog is my best effort to reconcile the two. You may have already probably picked this up in my writing, but just in case ya don't: I'm a geek: I'll watch Discovery Health, History and Travel channels all day if ya let me. I am fascinated by all things biomedical/health-related. Any one else out there watches invasive surgery videos while eating... no seriously, anybody else? I'm also single with no children, not even pets, and I'm seeking my God-ordained purpose in life on top of all that.  So what could I possibly have to blog about??

Oh, you have NO idea! Stay tuned.....
